As reported in Wired this past week, the World Technology Evaluation Center has released its report on brain-computer interfaces, which mentions researchers’ attempts a couple of years ago to replace memory-related portions of rats’ brains with memory chips.
…Imagine it- so long as our resources hold out and we can maintain our level of industrial production and planned obsolescence, we’ll be lifestyle-modded on the RAM-chip level, much like cars can have their performance tweaked by hacking the onboard chipset.
